Public Hearing on the 2026 Town Budget will take place at 5pm before the November 10th Town Board meeting at the Municipal Building 6329 Walker Rd.
Public Hearing on November 10th 2025 at 6pm before the Town Board Meeting at the Municipal Building 6329 Walker Rd. This will be for public comment entitled "Unsafe Buildings."
UPDATE: The Town Board unanimously approved to EXTEND the Battery Energy Storage Systems moratorium until February 28th, 2026 at the October Town Board Meeting. * NOTICE * Be it advised that the Town Board of the Town of Deerfield is having a public hearing to EXTEND the current moratorium on battery energy storage systems. This public hearing will be before the October Town Board meeting 6:15pm at the Municipal Building.

ATV and E-Bike Restrictions:
As a continued reminder, motorized or electric vehicles (4-wheelers and dirt bikes) are NOT allowed on Town roads, property, or trails. As you are well aware, there are local and state laws prohibiting this activity. If you are caught on the roads, property, or trails with a motorized vehicle, the Town will pursue all legal remedies.
NYS Vehicle & Traffice Law, Section 2403:
No person shall operate an ATV on a highway, public property, or private property without permission of the landowner. An ATV is defined as any self-propelled vehicle with two or more wheels to be used primarily for off-highway or in off-road competitions.
NYS Vehicle & Traffic Law Section 114-e, 1242, 1282, and 1284
ATV's include e-bikes with throttles, or without peddles, or is capable of speeds more than 20 mph.
